Husband and wife win collective $50,000 at Iowa tournament

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa -- An unemployed plumber and his wife won $50,000 at a casino poker tournament in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the Journal-Star reported.

Both the husband Jerry Walter and wife, Kathy entered the tournament separately and ended up both winning a seat in the final, the Journal-Star said.

Kathy finished seventh winning $10,000, while Jerry placed second and won $40,000, the Journal-Star said.
